Giuseppe Assereto

Giuseppe Assereto (17th century) was active/lived in Italy.  Giuseppe Assereto is known for Religious figure painting.

During the last year of life, to Joachim Asseretos (Genoa, 1600-1649) he was commissioned 'The Last Supper' destined to the oratory of San Giacomo della Marina, the decoration of which was attended by the most respected painters of the period, such as Orazio De Ferrari, Giovanni Battista Carlone, Valerio Castello and Domenico Piola.

In the same place it was also placed a large canvas by striking aspects asserettiani depicting the 'Sermon of St. James'. This composition, however, shows characters that refer to a follower nicknamed Maestro di San Giacomo to the Navy and its recognition in the recent history of Joseph Asseretos personality, son of Joachim and heir to his father's shop.
