Hubert Ruther

Hubert Ruther (1886 - 1945) was active/lived in Germany.  Hubert Ruther is known for Painting.

After attending the School of Applied Arts in Dresden, Ruether studied from 1911 at the Dresden Academy under Oskar Zwintscher and Gotthard Kuehl.  In 1919 he became a master student of Otto Gußmann.  This was followed by exhibitions, among others, with Christoph Voll and Otto Dix in the Dresden Gallery Emil Richter.  1934 Ruether was shunned professionally and banned from showing his art by the Nazi regime.
