Jozef Kidon

Jozef Kidon (1890 - 1968) was active/lived in Poland.  Jozef Kidon is known for Painting of portraits of women, floral still life.

Józef Kidon was born in 1890.

Jozef Kidon began studying painting in Lviv in the studio of Stanislaw Batowski, and continued it in Amsterdam. 

In the 1920's, he made an artistic journey around Europe - he visited Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria. 

Before the outbreak of World War II, he lived in Katowice, where he portrayed the personalities of the Silesian elite and gained considerable recognition. 

Kidon mainly painted portraits of women with soft, delicate faces and studied poses. He painted still lifes and landscapes less frequently.

Josef Kidon passed away in 1968.
