Juliusz Holzmuller

Juliusz Holzmuller (1876 - 1932) was active/lived in Poland.  Juliusz Holzmuller is known for Painting.

Juliusz Holzmuller was born in 1876. After completing the decorative painting course at the Industrial School in Lviv, Poland he studied with Florian Cynk, Józef Mehoffer and Teodor Axentowicz at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, and then in Munich in 1903-1904. In 1906, Holzmuller lived and worked in Lviv. Holzmuller is most widely known for his use of watercolors. The artist painted a series of paintings for the hunting pavilion of Prince Otto Habsburg in Rafajlowa. Hozmuller painted with motifs of horses from large studs, sketches and battle paintings with the participation of the Japanese cavalry (one of the watercolors is still in the officer's casino in Tokyo). He also created landscapes, city views, genre scenes with a favorite horse motif. Holzmuller often exhibited - in Lviv, in Krakow's TPSP and in Warsaw's Zacheta. Juliusz Holzmuller's works are in museums in Krakow, Lancut and Lviv. The artist passed away in 1932.
