Marguerite Robichaux

Marguerite Robichaux (Born 1950) is active/lives in Maine, Louisiana.  Marguerite Robichaux is known for Landscape painting.

Born and raised in Louisiana, Marguerite Robichaux is a painter, working both in oil and watercolor, whose primary subject is landscapes of Maine.  She moved there in the 1980s, having spent many summers at Boothbay Harbor working at an inn.  Of the Maine landscape, she says that she finds it "very sensual, very human in scale, whthere it's the lakes and mountains of western Maine or the headlands and horizons of Monhgan."

Her formal art training began at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts.

Her work is in the Portland Museum of Art in Maine and the New Orleans Museum of Art.
