Meyer Wolfe

Meyer R. *Mike) Wolfe (1897 - 1985) was active/lived in New York, California.  Meyer Wolfe is known for Modernist painting of nude female figure, still life and genre.

Meyer (Mike) Wolfe (1897 - 1985) was an American sculptor and painter. Born in Louisville, Kentucky and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, he studied in Chicago at the Academy of Fine Arts.

At the Art Students League of New York under John French Sloan, he went to Paris to train under Pierre Lauren at the Academie Julian. His 1934 lithograph, Red Eye's Hall, is featured at the Library of Congress.
