Minnie Kallmeyer

Minnie Kallmeyer (1882 - 1947) was active/lived in Michigan / Canada.  Minnie Kallmeyer is known for Landscape painting.

Minnie Kallmeyer   (1882-1947)

Minnie Kallmeyer was born in Detroit, Michigan and came to Canada with her family in 1892.  She studied under F. McGillivray Knowles and John William Beatty at the Central Ontario School of Art; also in Munich under Walter Thor and under Richard Miller in Paris. 

She traveled and painted in Georgian Bay, Ontario, Bai St. Paul in Quebec, Lunenburg in Nova Scotia, the Catskill Mountains, Maine, Massachusetts and in England.

She was active in Toronto from 1911 until her death.  She exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy between 1911 and 1935.  Her work is in the collection of the National Gallery of Canada.
