Pieter Neyn

Pieter Neyn (1597 - 1639) was active/lived in Holland.  Pieter Neyn is known for Landscape scenes.

Pieter de Neyn trained as a painter with the Haarlem master Esaias van de Velde (1590 - 1630). But de Neyn’s works were also influenced by Jan van Goyen who trained with van de Velde at the same time.

Works by de Neyn with the crowns of the trees painted into the sky in a feather-like manner are held at the Stedelijk Museum in Leiden, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Instituut Collectie Nederland in Amsterdam.
