Randy Long

Randy Long is a professor of art and head of the Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design Department at the School of Art and Design at Indiana University Bloomington.

She received a B.A. (1974) and M.A. (1977) from San Diego State University and M.F.A. (1983) from California State University at Long Beach.

A metalsmith of international recognition with over 300 exhibitions and appearances in 24 books, she won praise early on in her career for her groundbreaking and impeccably crafted work.  She won first place "Tuscany Tea Service" at the Fortunoff Silver Design Competition, the Grand Prize from the American Craft Awards in the category "For the Tabletop," and was included in the important exhibition "Craft Today: Poetry of the Physical" at the American Craft Museum.
