Tadeusz Kulisiewicz

Tadeusz Kulisiewicz (1899 - 1988) was active/lived in Poland.  Tadeusz Kulisiewicz is known for Painting, prints.

Born Kalisz 1899 - died 1988 Warsaw.

He studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Poznan (1922-1923), then at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw under the direction of prof. Wladyslaw Skoczylas (1923-1927). 1926 was a member of the Association of Graphic Artists "Rite".  Published by him in 1931, a portfolio "Szlembark" presenting the reality of life in the highland village, which he visited and where he lived at the time, was an unintentional polemic against the depictions of idealized Communism. At the same time he created a series of drawings, with printmaking, becoming the domain of his work.  Starting from the "Warsaw 1945", which recorded the views of the ruined city, in subsequent cycles (like "India", 1956 "Mexico" I and II, 1957-1959, "Venetian Lagoon", 1958 "Brazil" 1963 and many others) went far beyond poetic reportage towards the synthesis of observed phenomena.
