Vladimir Zavalov

Vladimir Feodorovich Zavalov (1949 - 2000) was active/lived in Idaho / Russian Federation.  Vladimir Zavalov is known for Landscape, still life, portrait.

Largely self-taught in his painting, Zavalov's work is "rooted in classical European Impressionism".  He emigrated to America in 1990, despite finding success with his art in the 1980s in Moscow.  Zavalov settled in Idaho, joining a small Russian artists' colony, founded by Sergei Bongart, and others.
He exhibited in galleries in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Arizona, and California, but his career was cut short through his untimely  death in the year 2000.
