Yasse Tabuchi

Yasse Tabuchi (1921 - 2009) was active/lived in Japan.  Yasse Tabuchi is known for Painting.

Yasse Tabuchi was born in 1921 and began studies in art history in Tokyo from 1946 to 1951. At the same time he paints and exhibits from 1947. He wins the Okada Prize in 1949 but becomes interested in European avant-garde art and moves to Paris in 1951 and remains in France until his death in 2009. In Paris he gets to know the Cobra artists Jorn, Appel, Alechinsky and Corneille. His early works show the influence of surrealism, but he also gets to know Hartung and the informal art that will be his next and main period. In 1956, the same year that the current painting was executed, he exhibited at Lucien Durand with works that mix lines and shapes into a dynamic yet stable composition.
