Franz Windhager

Franz Windhager (1879 - 1959) was active/lived in Germany, Austria.  Franz Windhager is known for Landscape painting.

Franz Windhager ( 1879-1959 Vienna), Franz Windhager studied at the Vienna Academy with Christian Griepenkerl and Franz Rumpler and in between from 1900 at the Academy in Karlsruhe with Ludwig Schmid-Reutte. Study trips took him through Germany and Italy. In 1909 he became a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus. Windhager was active as a painter and illustrator (e.g. Grillparzer, The Poor Musician, 1913).
