Colombian-born Gustavo Duque has been a fixture of the New Orleans art scene for over twenty years, showing his work at solo and group exhibitions locally and around the world. 

His contributions to the city have been reflected in numerous awards, such as the Galvez Cup, presented by the New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation in 2004, and the Special Appreciation Award, presented by then Mayor of New Orleans Ray Nagin in 2003. 

Some of his work resides in local, public collections, such as the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Ochsner Health System Primary Care Center.
