Joaquin Rubio Camin

Joaquin Rubio Camin (1929 - 2007) was active/lived in Spain.  Joaquin Camin is known for Sculpture.

The sculptor, painter, designer and photographer Joaquín Rubio Camín has an extensive work, based on the use of metal (iron, bronze, steel ...) and wood such as oak. From the sixties, he turned to what would be his most recognized activity, sculpture, receiving, in 1962, the Grand Prize for Sculpture of the First National Contest of Plastic Arts. In 2001 he was awarded the Silver Medal of the Principality of Asturias. In London, he met Jorge Oteiza, of whom he declared himself an admirer and with whom he shared a friendship.
