Maud Gerard

Maud Gerard lived from 1915 to 2013.  Winning painter painting competition of the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels in 1937, Maud GERARD studied painting in the studio of Anto Carte and Isidor Opsomer.  Prix de Rome in 1941, she stayed at the Villa Medici.  She is very much influenced by his passion for Impressionism, but excels in all genres. 

Portraits, landscapes and still life works are executed with a constant search for light.

In 2015, Maud Gérard between the Museum of Modern Art of Paris thanks to a monumental work titled "Eve" acquired from the Vincent Lecuyer gallery.  Tempted by cubism at the beginning of his career blossomed in the realistic portrayal and poured in religious matters, it is towards the end of his life it is dedicated to the nude.  Expressing unparalleled sensuality
