Maude Kerns

Maude Irvine Kerns (1876 - 1965) was active/lived in Oregon, California.  Maude Kerns is known for Modernist-leaning landscape, non objective.

Born in Portland, OR on Aug. 1, 1876. Kerns was educated at University of Oregon and later taught art there during 1931-47. During summers in the 1930s she was active in San Francisco. She died in Eugene, OR on Oct. 19, 1965. Member: Calif. WC Society; Oregon Society of Artists; AAPL. Exh: Oregon State Fair, 1900; Alaska Yukon Pacific Expo (Seattle), 1909; San Francisco Art Association, 1930; Calif. WC Society, 1933-35; Seattle Museum, 1934-37. In: Univ. of Oregon Art Museum; Portland and Seattle Museums.
