Tano Festa

Tano Festa (1938 - 1988) was active/lived in Italy.  Tano Festa is known for Painting and sculpture.

Tano Festa attended the Art Institute of Rome, graduating in photography in 1957 and forming the example of Cy Twombly and gestural painting and informal.  His first public participation was in 1959 with Franco Angeli and Giuseppe Hooks, in a group exhibition at the Galleria La Salita in Rome, where, only in 1961, held his first solo exhibition.

Pop star of the Roman school, received a rigorous formal solutions new dada, offering monochrome isolated objects of daily use.  Famous are the shutters, mirrors and windows, which became support of his activities as a painter.  Since 1963 he also lingered on the masters of the tradition and the Italian Renaissance, particularly the Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel and the Medici Chapels, interpreted as advertising images.
