Augusto Barros (1929 - 1998) was active/lived in Portugal.  Augusto Barros is known for Abstract painting.

Augusto Barros was born in Lisbon in 1929. He studied under Machado da Luz at the SNBA and later went on to study in Hamburg in 1962.

Barros worked with Man Ray in Paris in 1963 and became friends with Vieira da Silva, Arpad Szenes, and Cargaleiro while in France. He is known for his abstract constructivism in muted colors and has exhibited since 1962 in individual and collective exhibitions in Portugal and several European countries.
