Enzo Baccante (1887 - 1938) was active/lived in New York / Italy.  Enzo Baccante is known for Painting.

Baccante's opera career probably started with his debut in 1909 at Faraggiana of Novara as Zurga in Pescatori di Perle.  He served in the Italian Army during the First World War, and in 1922 emigrated to the U.S., at that point concentrating on a career as a painter and sculptor.

He subsequently occasionally appeared in concerts and on the radio in the U.S., but was mostly active and recognized as a painter.

Baccante was found dead of heart disease in his apartment at 353 West Twenty-fourth Street in New York City.  His wife, also an artist, telephoned from Washington, where she had gone to execute a commission and found out he had died.
