Giuseppe Diamantini was an Italian painter who was born in central Italy and went to Venice around 1650. It is believed that he was a student of the Bolognese followers of Carracci, but nothing is known about his initial training. He created the depiction of God the Father on the ceiling of the church of San Giovanni Crisostomo and the "Adoration of the Magi" in the Venetian church of San Moisé. He became known for his allegories and ancient depictions of gods, such as for the Palazzo Badoer. As an etcher, he also created a series of around 60 depictions of mythological scenes.
