Her landscapes are usually viewed from an elevated position and records Mary's response to the landscape form, the moods of the seasons and the atmosphere of the time of day.

She has exhibited widely - both in the North of England and in London. Mary's work is represented in many collections in her home county of Yorkshire and widely throughout the North of England.
