Studied:
University of Rochester 1909 - 1913
Mechanics Institute (now RIT), graduate 1921 or 1922
Later studied with American Marine Painter, Charles Woodbury

Employed:
Munsell Color Company, NYC (later Baltimore), 1922-1925 as color specialist developing a system to describe colors scientifically through reference to their position on the Munsell Color Scale.

1926 joined the faculty at RIT School of Art and Design as an instructor.  Retired as a full professor in 1956.  Specialized in courses related to painting and design; also taught modeling, history of art, et al.
