Monsieur Chat (Born 1977) is known for Painting.

M. Chat (also known as Monsieur Chat and Mr Chat) is the name of a graffiti artist who originally appeared in Orleans, France, in 1997. The graffiti most often appeared on chimneys, but was also seen in other places, such as train platforms and political rallies. At first, the artist was anonymous, but in 2007 Thoma Vuille was caught creating the cat. The yellow cartoon cat is characterized by his big Cheshire Cat grin. He most often appears running, but has also been depicted waving signal flags, bouncing on a ball, wearing angel wings and waving at the entrance to a train station. Sometimes he is accompanied by the label "M. Chat" in lowercase letters. A 2004 documentary, Chats perchés ("The Case of the Smiling Cat"), by filmmaker Chris Marker, used the phenomenon of M. Chat appearing all over France as a springboard for a reflection on the state of the country after 9/11.
