Robert Sgarra is a self-taught artist who discovered painting at the age of 13. He was influenced by the great masters of painting and possesses a broad technique mastered and accomplished in the service of a flamboyant inspiration. He is both a sculptor and painter, and his work is imaginative, inventive, and daring. Sgarra varies shapes and colors, depending on his mood and his humor, always with the same passion that haunts him. He produced works from collages, paintings, and stonework in the 90s, and these works sometimes take the form of trophies. He continued a few years later on other media (metal, aluminum), then influenced by Pop and Street Art. Sgarra is known for his Pop'Art and fawn colourist ardor style in painting and sculpture.
