Georg (Karl) Arsenius (1855 - 1908) was active/lived in Sweden. Georg Arsenius is known for Animal, portrait, wildlife painting.
After studying at the National Art School of Stockholm from 1870-1880, Carl George Arsenius left for Paris where he became a student of Jean-Paul Laurens.
He choose Chantilly, France as his permanent residence in 1886, which did not prevent King Oscar II of Sweden to continually order equestrian portraits from the artist.
He was later hired by the paper
Sport
for his drawings, and soon became widely renowned for his horse paintings, which he did with spontaneity and ardor.
His work can be seen in prominent collections throughout the world, including the National Museum in Stockholm, the Art Museum of Gothenburg, and the Art Museum of Waldemarsudde.
