Jiru Chen

Jiru Chen (1558 - 1639) was active/lived in China.  Jiru Chen is known for Drawing.

He was one of the good friends of Dong Qichang (1555-1636) with whom he developed the theory of literati painting. He abandoned an official career and devoted himself to calligraphy, painting and literary and philosophical studies. Few paintings of him have survived, mostly landscapes and paintings of plum blossoms.
