Lars Petter Sjostrom (1820 - 1896) was active/lived in Sweden.  Lars Sjostrom is known for Ship portraits in oil.

Lars Petter Sjöström was a Swedish artist born in Råå. He worked as a fisherman and sailor before studying at Malmö Navigation School. He later settled in London and worked as a rigger and galleon sculptor at a shipyard. He became an established naval painter and made upwards of 2,000 ship portraits, all showing the starboard side and sailing for port necks. He worked as a harbor master in Malmö and died in the 19th century
