A figure, portrait and equine painter, usually of western subjects, Margo Petterson is a member of the California Art Club, Women Artists of the West and Oil Painters of America. 

She was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the San Fernando Valley where she attended a private high school in Burbank.  In 1961, she received a degree in fine art and then studied with Edward Runci for several years.

She lives in Coleville, California.
