Otto (Banz) Botto

Otto (Banz) Botto (1903 - 1968) was active/lived in New York, New Jersey / Switzerland.  Otto Botto is known for Marine, portrait and landscape painting.

In the mid 1960s' Otto Botto also, painted under the name of Loret in order to supplement his income. Those were very difficult financial times for many artists. Personnel of The Artist's Showroom at 1 67 East 33rd Street in New York City purchased many of his works outright so he could continue buying art materials and had money for food.

It 's very difficult for an artist to divert from his style or change his brush strokes. Therefore Botto/Loret are one in the same.
