Otto Zitko studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. 

From the beginning, he was concerned with drawing as a pictorial medium. For him the drawing is neither a preparatory sketch nor study, but "drawing, argued from the point of view of painting."

Herbert Lachmayer wrote about him, "the reality of his line is at the same time the dream to be on and in her on the road." Otto Zitkos deliberately uses this line.

Sometimes it opens up an illusion space, then again the line nets concentrate on the real architectural space. In its all-over space drawings, the line assumes the function of spatial structure and extent. In his serial work on aluminum, and drawings on paper, the line triggers an illusionistic projection in perception.
