Coming from a family history of painters and other creative artists with a strong work ethic, Amy Ringholz gravitates to art naturally and brings a sense of boundless joy and energy to her work.  She was chosen as one of Southwest Art magazines "21 Under 31 Emerging Artists of 2005."

Over the last few years Ringholz, with an array of animals with distinctive playful personalisties, has established herself as an artist in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Of her work, she says: "Emotion, personality and humor are the traits I strive for in each new painting.  Some of my animals have humanlike characteristics. You can see their soul through their eyes.  It is my hope that the viewer will discover the similarities between our two species, and remember to treat animals and other people with kindness and respect."
