Gerard Holmens (1934 - 1995) was active/lived in Belgium.  Gerard Holmens is known for Sculpture.

Gérard Holmens (1934-1995) attends the academies of Ostend and Ghent, before studying at the Grande Chaumiere in Paris, under the direction of Ossip Zadkine. His work quickly evolves towards abstraction. A major retrospective was dedicated to him at the City Museum of Ostend in 2001. His sculptures are in the collections of the Museums of Ostend, Ypres, Kortrijk and Mons. The artist passed away in 1995.
