In Ohio, she and her husband train and race Thoroughbred horses. Her painting specialty is equine portraiture. In summer, 1997, she won the "Art of the West" Publisher's Award at the Women Artists of the West 4th International Juried Competion in Biloxi, Mississippi, for her painting "Through the Valley of the Shadow."
