Truman Bolinger

Truman Bolinger (Born 1944) is active/lives in Arizona, Wyoming.  Truman Bolinger is known for Western theme sculpture.

Truman Bolinger's western style bronze art sculpture is intended to make a statement and have a philosophical theme, containing a wry sense of humor or a universal truth.

Bolinger was born in 1944 in Sheridan, Wyoming and spent 22 years on his parents ranch near Ucross, Wyoming. There in the shadows of the Big Horn Mountains, his mind was indelibly stamped with the beauty of the land and the history of the western Cowboys, the Indians and the Mountain Men. His early instinct was to become a rancher, but by 1968, he was a full-time sculptor.

He attended the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver and the Art Students League in New York City, and then began to sculpt on his own.

He has the desire to recreate through his bronze art, the history of our Western Heritage. For each piece, he does in-depth research to give it realism and authenticity, and depending on his goal, either a quiet sensitive quality or dynamic movement.
