Charles Perron was born at Plesse in 1893 and is noted for his landscapes, still lives and nudes.
His delicate still life compositions in particular recall to mind the style and spirit of Chardin and he has received numerous honours including the second "grand prix de Rome" in 1921.

He is a member of the Societe des Artistes Francais, and in 1928 he won both the gold and silver medals.
