“Jaroslaw Jeschke's painting results from constant observation of the world, sometimes seen directly, sometimes mediated (...). Jeschke's first large series were facades of apartment buildings, garages, fragments of housing developments, and cars painted from nature. Although simplified and subjected to the rigor of geometry, they also had 'veduta' detailing. They could represent fragments of any modernist housing estate, and yet they were specific landscapes. Subsequent groups of paintings increasingly often had as their starting point a photo, a frame from a film, such as works related to martial law. Gradually, the artist's attention moved towards extreme rocks - on the one hand, a series depicting explosions (of volcanoes and atomic bombs), and on the other, diverse forms of microorganisms. From some point on, Jeschke increasingly refers to the world of nature, each time remaining (although not always directly) in a direct relationship with humans. Je ...
