A prominent contemporary Canadian painter, drafter and printmaker, K.M. Graham (aka: Kathleen Margaret Howitt Graham), was born in Hamilton, Ontario and died in Toronto, Ontario, where she had lived most of her life. Even though she embarked on an art career relatively late in life, she was 49 years old (1962), in a few years she became one of the most well-known avant-garde artists in Canada and enjoyed that stature for the rest of her life. Her works have been included in numerous major exhibitions and collected by many museums, including the British Museum and the National Gallery of Canada. (2)
