Lennart Jirlow, with his colorful and naive painting never fails to please. Showy gardens in France, charming bistro scenes, and cheerful people show great warmth to their surroundings.

When Lennart Jirlow settled in France, he encountered a hilarious environment that in many ways felt far removed from Swedish society. On the table, wine from the local producer flowed.  In the garden, nature was allowed to bloom in full force.  Friends often met spontaneously over a piece of food or stopped for a chat over the fence. An easel is set up in the auction's flowering garden. A painter who also seems to work as a chef is in full swing of depicting nature in full bloom in front of him. A landscape image emerges on the canvas, it is far from finished, but we suspect that the artist lets the brush flow freely in fine tones.
