A prominent Canadian painter, draftsman and educator, Will Gorlitz was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina; brought up, from the age of six, in Winnipeg, Manitoba; and currently lives and works in Guelph, Ontario. Several major Canadian museums collect his paintings and they have been included in numerous exhibitions at important public venues such as the Art Gallery of Ontario and the National Gallery of Canada.

Gorlitz's mediums include oil, pastel, ink, mixed mediums, lithography, and painting/installation. His subjects include, portraits, figures, still life, landscape, trees, animals, astronomical phenomena, allegory*, metaphor and social commentary. His primary styles are Realism*, Surrealism* and Conceptual Art*. AskART images have some excellent illustrations of his work.
