Jennie Tomao (1934 - 2011) was active/lived in California.  Jennie Tomao is known for Landscape, figure and still life Painting.

Jennie Tomao was born in New York City, she was the eldest child of a large Italian family. Jennie Tomao showed early talent and began drawing at 7 years old." 

As a student of the renowned School of Music and Art in Manhattan she excelled in oil painting and watercolor. While there, she received an Award of Excellence from the Pittsburg Institute of Art. 

She married a fellow classmate, Charles Bragg who is a world famous satirical artist. Together they moved to California. Their son Charles Lynn Bragg is a successful internationally recognized environmental artist. Their daughter Georgia is an artist and printmaker as well a children's book writer. 

Having been born with an artist's eye and having learned to use the tools of painting she worked on many subjects including people, and street scenes, but it is landscapes and floral still lifes that fascinate her the most.
