Robin Artine Smith

Robin Artine Smith (1903 - 1991/92) was active/lived in Texas, Arkansas.  Robin Smith is known for Town-landscape, still life painting, design.

Smith was born in Warren, Arkansas.  She attended the Art Institute of Chicago (1921-1925) and Northwestern University (1926-1927), then served as art director for Revell and Company, Chicago (1927-1932).  After studying under Hubert Ropp (1931-1932), she spent time abroad in Vienna (1932-1934) and worked in New York City as a freelance artist (1934-1940).  She made Dallas, Texas her home thereafter.

A specialist in watercolors, she was a student of Eliot O'Hara in 1945 and again in 1953.  Smith was married to and later divorced from Frederick Omar Georlitz.
