Ms Alden is an artist from Osterville MA on Cape Cod. She raised four children in Newton Ma while working in interior design and fabrics. Her first love has always been painting.

She studied at the Decordova Museum, the Museum School and Vesper George School of Art.Now in her nineties she has served as a curator for the Cape Cod Art Association since the 1990's and has had several featured shows there and has exhibited at the Copley Society Boston among many other venues.

She describes specializing in " the Human Condition" with seascapes, beach scenes , landscapes, portraits, figurative pieces and still lifes. She paints mostly in an impressionistic style, but also occasional realism and abstract works.

She also is a printmaker and has worked or experimented in sculpture, costumed dolls, quilts, murals and painted furniture.
