The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and the rural nostalgia of the Snake River Valley reflect the meticulous watercolors by Jeffrey Craven. Growing up in the valleys on the Idaho side of the Tetons provide a wealth of material for an artist to draw from.

Jeff was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, spent his earliest years in Swan Valley and then returned to Idaho Falls to raise his family with his wife Nancy. Craven attended Idaho State University in Fine Art and worked at the National Engineering Laboratory as an illustrator before making the jump to a full-time professional artist in 1979.

An artist friend once told Jeff that his greatest accomplishment was just surviving as an artist for twenty five years. Other bright spots include his induction into the American Indian and Cowboy Artists Association and multiple selections into the Arts for the Parks Top 100, the first of which hung in the Great Hall of the Smithsonian.
