The oldest art museum in the South, the Telfair Museum of Art houses a collection of more than 4,500 pieces of fine and decorative art from the United States, Europe, and Asia. The collection is housed in three venues in
downtown Savannah: the Telfair Academy of Arts & Sciences, the Owens-Thomas House, and the newly-opened (March 2006) Jepson Center for the Arts.
