Francisco Sancha Lengo

Francisco Sancha Lengo (1874 - 1936) was active/lived in Spain.  Francisco Lengo is known for Paintings.

A draughtsman and painter, Francisco Sancha specialized in landscapes and portraits, although he also tackled many other subjects. He trained at the Fine Arts Schools of San Telmo in Malaga and San Fernando in Madrid, with Joaquin Martinez de la Vega in the former and Jose Moreno Carbonero in the latter.

In 1899, Lengo settled in Paris, where he worked as a contributor to the magazines "Frou-Frou", "Le Rire" and "Le Cri de Paris". In 1812, Lengo moved to London, and he extended his activity to furniture design and decorative painting, in addition to collaborating with various publications.

Lengo participated in the National Exhibitions of Fine Arts in Madrid, being awarded an honorable mention in 1897, and a second medal in 1908 and 1910.

Lengo is currently represented in the Museo Lázaro Galdiano, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and the ABC of Madrid, among other collections.   ...  [Displaying 929 of 2773 characters.]  Artist bio
