Joseph Jef Banc (Born 1930) is active/lives in France.  Joseph Banc is known for Painting, drawing specialist.

Born in 1930 in Paris, France, he is a painter and drawing specialist. Entirely self-taught, he has painted full time since 1950. He had his first one-man exhibition at the Galerie Creuze, Paris, in 1956, in New York and Brussels 1958, in London 1960. In 1961 he illustrated an edition of L'Apocalypse de Saint-Jean with lithographs.

The following quote is from the Tate Collection: "His works are mostly small in scale and include many drawings in India ink or gouache, and papiers coll-23s, as well as oils. He employs tachiste and calligraphic abstract idioms in a search for images of germination, metamorphosis, etc. expressive of the rhythm of life; has also used insect forms and male-female imagery."
