Alex Urban uses vulgar jokes as a critique of society and its rules. By using a bright palette of colors, Urban makes the performances seem unreal, as if taken from a horror film, but in a familiar way.

The exhibitions of Alex Urban expose abuses, violence and sexism. Inspiration for this subject comes from the world of pop culture, TV programs, magazines and newspapers.
