Baoyi Chen (1893 - 1945) was active/lived in China.  Baoyi Chen is known for Landscape painting.

Chen Baoyi is a painter from Xinhui, Guangdong Province. He have loved oil painting since he was a child. He launched the earliest organization of study oil painting which called Dongfanghuahui in 1915 . He once crossed over japan two times, studied at the Baimahui painting institute, tokyo kawabata painting school, and Influenced by European later impressionism and new champions of realism., He graduated from Tokyo Ueno art school and returned in 1921, founded the Arts Council called Chenguang. in 1925, Chen Baoyi and Cai Yuanpei founded Chinese Arts University, he is responsible for Western painting with Ding Yanyong. He has been appointed as a Western painting Professor at Xinhua Shanghai Art Academy, Li Da academy' arts subjects, Shenzhou Girls School' arts subjects, and Xinhua Art College, Head of the Shanghai Art College of Western painting, organized Mo community with Xu Beihong, Yan Wenliang, and Zhu Qizhan.
