Martin La Rosa

Martin La Rosa (Born 1972) was active/lived in Argentina.  Martin La Rosa is known for Still life and landscape painting.

After his internationally acclaimed show Portraits of Time, Martín La Rosa (b. 1972, Buenos Aires, Argentina) brings to New York his most recent work which explores the outside world of natural landscapes. With a distinct technique and an extraordinary attention to the materialization of natural light that reflects the passage of time, these canvases submerge the viewer into a serene and quiet world.

Horizon and A Twilight Sadness are peaceful and windy scenes, sometimes in front and against the light; ever-changing seashores in compositions framed by empty skies. In The Sound of Emptiness, the viewer gazes into, between, and around the trees, evoking self-reflection into shadows and lights. The artist shapes the sound of waving leaves, the tinkling of the foam on the sand. Meadows, forests and water's edges draw an introspective path through Martin La Rosa's restful world.
